With so many volcanoes, the huge amount of ashes inspired Shankamanhk to create a way to get life out of it. They are practically invulnerable in their habitat until they die, and a big obstacle if they reach a huge size. A symbol of resurrection.
Birds born of ash, with wings that blaze with fire. They dwell in extremely hot regions, feeding on volcanic ash or other phoenixes to grow larger, reaching a height of 12 meters. Though they possess little in the way of defense, when wounded they disperse into ashes, only to rise again, reforming from their original remains. Yet when their natural life finally ends, their ashes lie still, never to take shape again.
